Lemony Spaghetti with Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and cleaned, tails on
- S&P
- 3 garlic cloves grated
- 2 T EVOO
- 8 T butter
- 3 Shallots minced
- 1/2 C plus t T white wine
- Grated lemon zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 1 t red pepper flakes
- 1/2 C heavy cream
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl toss shrimp, salt, pepper, garlic and EVOO. Bring a large pot of well salted water to boil.
In a large fry pan over medium heat melt 4 T butter, add shallots and saute until tender 5 minutes, add wine, lemon zest and juice and remaining butter and red pepper. Bring to a simmer and add cream. Reduce heat to low and cook until golden and fragrant about 5 minutes. Preheat grill and cook shrimp until opaque, about 2 minute per side.
Cook pasta until al dente, drain and transfer to pan with sauce, toss to coat. Top with shrimp and season with more lemon juice and red pepper. Garnish with basil leaves and serve.
