Mommy's Oyster Stuffing

This oyster stuffing is easy to prepare, and perfect for any special occasion. Stuff the turkey or put it in a large casserole and bake for about 40 minutes at 350°F.

Ingredients
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup butter
- 6 cups dry bread cubes
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 pint oysters, chopped
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Dash pepper
- Milk

Preparation
Step 1
Cook bay leaf, celery and onion in butter until vegetables tender. Discard bay leaf.
Mix vegetables with parsley and bread cubes.
Mix eggs, oyster juice (with enough milk to make 1/3 cup), poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. Pour mixture to moisten bread crumbs and vegetables.
Stuff turkey.
