SLOW COOKED BACON CHEESE POTATOES

Been looking for a different way to fix potatoes??? We think we found one!! Bacon Cheese Potatoes (Slow Cooked) *** This recipe also can be made in the oven instead of your slow cooker if you desired***
Ingredients
- 1/4 pound bacon, diced
- 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
- 6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1/2 pound cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
- garlic salt and black pepper
- butter
- chopped green onions, approximately 1/2 cup (optional)

Step 1
1. Line crockpot with foil, leaving enough to cover the potatoes when finished.
2. Layer half each of the bacon, onions, potatoes and cheese in crockpot. Season to taste with the garlic salt and black pepper and then dot with butter and sprinkle with 1/2 of the chopped green onions if you are using them.
3. Repeat layers of bacon, onions, potatoes and cheese and season to taste with the garlic salt and black pepper. Dot with butter and sprinkle with the rest of the chopped green onions if you are using them.
4. Cover with remaining foil.
5. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours or on high for 4-5 hours
*** If you would prefer to make these in the oven -- 400 degrees for an hour in a 9 x 13 baking dish, covered***
