Aunt Fonda's Oyster Dressing Recipe

This oyster dressing recipe comes together so quickly! Just layer crackers and oysters, then add seasoning and half-and-half. Let it sit to soften the crackers and bake! You can make it the day ahead and keep refrigerated until ready to bake.
Ingredients
- 2 pints oysters
- 3 packages saltine crackers
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 quart heavy whipping cream
- 1 stick butter
- 1 quart half and half
- Salt and pepper, to taste

Step 1
In a 9 x 12 baking dish layer crackers, oysters, crackers, oysters, crackers. Sprinkle lightly with Worcestershire. Pour heavy shipping cream over and let stand about 1/2 hour. Should have some standing liquid, if not, add more half and half. Cut butter into slices and lay on top. Dust with salt and pepper. Bake in 400°F oven for about 45 minutes.
