Mussels and Clams over shell pasta

If you love fresh seafood this is a great dish to try
- 1/2 lb shell pasta
- 1 lb broccoli, cut into florets
- 1/4 c olive oil
- 3 garlic clovers, minced
- 1/8 teas red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teas kosher salt
- 1/4 teas freshly ground pepper
- 2 lbs small little neck clams, scrubbed
- 2 lbs mussels, debearded
- 1 c white wine
- 1/3 c chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
Green Tomato Bread

Yes this bread is made with green tomatoes
- 3 c flour
- 1/4 teas baking powder
- 1 teas baking soda
- 1 teas salt
- 2 c sugar
- 1 T ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teas vanilla
- 2 c finely chopped green tomato(about 2 medium)
- 1 1/2 c chopped pecans, optional
Raw Butternut Squash with Cranberry Dressing

A great dish to prepare in the fall or for Thanksgiving
- 1/2 c fresh or frozen cranberries, picked over and rinsed
- 3/4 c orange juice
- 1 T minced ginger
- 3 T olive oil
- 2 T honey
- salt and pepper
- 1 butternut squash (about 1 1/2 lbs) peeled and seeded
Baked Pancake

This pancake can be served for breakfast, brunch or dessert
- 2 T unsalted butter
- 1 large sweet apple, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/4 inch wedges (Gala or Golden are great)
- 1/2 c whole milk
- 1/2 c flour
- 4 eggs
- 3 T sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Confectioners' sugar
Glazed Mini Pumpkin Muffins

Tasty little muffins for breakfast or on Thanksgiving
- Glaze:
- 3/4 c pumpkin
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c milk
- 1/3 cup pumpkin spice creamer (by the milk in the dairy section)
- 1 teas cinnamon
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/4 c brown sugar
- 1/2 teas salt
- 1 1/2 c flour
- 2 teas baking powder
- 3/4 c powdered sugar
- 1 T pumpkin spice creamer (add a little more if necessary)
Rhubarb Torte with Meringue

This is my husband's favorite rhubarb dessert
- Crust:
- 1 c flour
- 1/3 c powdered sugar
- 1/2 c butter
- Filling:
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 c sugar
- 1/4 c flour
- 3/4 teas salt
- 3 c rhubarb, chopped
- Meringue:
- 3 egg whites
- 6 T sugar
- 1/4 teas salt
- 1/8 teas cream of tartar
Cranberry Upside-Down Cake

- 8 T unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 c sugar
- 1/2 teas ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teas ground allspice
- 1 3/4 c cranberries
- 1 large egg
- 1 teas vanilla
- 1 1/4 flour
- 1 1/2 teas baking powder
- 1/4 teas salt
- 1/2 c milk
- Whipping cream or ice cream for topping
Baked Doughnuts

- For sugar coating:
- 3/4 c butter, softened
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 c flour
- 4 1/2 teas baking powder
- 1/2 teas salt
- 1/2 teas nutmeg
- 1 c milk
- 1/4 c butter, melted
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1/4 teas cinnamon
- If you don't want sugar coating, you can frost them.
Caramel Pecan Bars

- 1 pkg Pillsbury Plus yellow cake mix
- 1/3 c butter, softened
- 1 egg
- Filling:
- 1-14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teas vanilla
- 1 c chopped pecans
- 1/2 pkg. Health Bits of Brickle Baking Chips
Shrimp and fettuccine with sun-dried tomatoes in a cream sauce

Shrimp in a tasty cream sauce
- 3 T olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 1/2 lbs uncooked jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2-3 scallions, trimmed and finely sliced
- 2 T shredded basil
- 1/2 c drained sun-dried tomatoes, cut into strips
- pinch of ground white pepper
- 1 c chicken broth
- 3/4 c dry vermouth or I used 1/2 c white wine vinegar
- 1 c heavy cream
- 1/2 c grated parmesan cheese, plus extra to serve
- 11 oz fettuccine
