Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh asparagus, ends trimmed
- 6 slices bacon, par-cooked
- 1/2 c light brown sugar
- 3/4 stick butter
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 1/4 tsp Cajun seasoning ( optional )

Step 1
Partially Pre cook 6 slices bacon 2 min microwave
Divide asparagus spears into bundles (4-5 pieces each). Wrap 1 piece of par-cooked bacon around each bundle, starting 1/2" from bottom of the tips. arrange asparagus bundles in a shallow baking dish.
Combine brown sugar, butter, soy sauce, garlic salt and pepper in a medium saucepan; heat mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Bake asparagus bundles 20 to 25 minutes in oven at 375 or until spears have begun to wilt and bacon looks fully cooked. pour sauce over the bundles for the last 10 min of cooking time...
OR
For crisper bacon:
"Broil" asparagus bundles until bacon starts to crisp
poor glaze over top
Then "Bake" @400 Another 10-15 min....
