  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 5 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 2 small onions, sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350.

Melt butter over low heat. Blend in flour. Add milk all at once. Cook, stirring constantly until thickened. Add cheese and seasoning. Spread half of sauce on bottom of shallow baking dish. Add potatoes and onions. Spread remaining sauce on top. Bake 1 hour.
