Mom's Oyster Dressing

This oyster dressing recipe is so easy to make! Just saute the veggies in butter and mix everything up in a large casserole dish and bake. You can make it the day before and put in the oven about 45 minutes before you are ready to serve.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 (1-pound) bags Kroger's stuffing cubes
- 5 (8-ounce) cans oysters, cut in half, save liquid
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 to 2 onions, chopped
- 1 bag dried sage (1/6 oz), grind or crumble (or 1/2 oz fresh sage, cut into small pieces)
- 1 t pepper
- 1 t salt
- 1 t poultry seasoning
- 1/2 t thyme
- 2 cans chicken broth

Step 1
Sauté onions & celery in butter. Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl including liquid from oysters. Add broth until sloppy. Bake in 9x13 in baking dish at 350°F for 45 minutes, or until heated through and lightly browned on top.
