Ingredients

  • Cups Oil

  • 3

    Eggs

  • 1

    Cup Brown Sugar

  • 2

    tsp. Vanilla

  • 1

    tsp. Baking Soda

  • 1

    tsp. Salt

  • 3

    Cups Flour

  • 1

    Cup Chopped Walnuts

  • 4

    Cups Chopped Peeled Apples

  • Frosting:

  • 1

    Cup Brown Sugar

  • ½

    Cup Butter

  • ¼

    Cup Heavy Whipping Cream

Directions

Preheat oven to 350*. Grease a 9x13 pan or a 10" bundt pan. Stir the flour, baking soda and salt together. In a large bowl cream the oil, eggs, 1 cup brown sugar and 2 tsp. vanilla. Add the flour mixture and mix well. Stir in the apples and nuts. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake @ 350* for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. In a saucepan combine the frosting ingredients. Bring to a boil and continue for 3 minutes. Cool slightly and pour over warm cake.
