Lemon Sauce for Pancakes

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon plus 1 teaspoon lemon extract

Step 1

Combine the sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. Add in the lemon juice and stir. Add remaining ingredients, stir well, and cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring often.
