Turtle Cheesecake

This is the recipe that won me the Le Gourmet Depot Throwdown
- Crust
- 12 Oreo cookies, crushed
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- Filling
- 24 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 t. vanilla
- 1 t. lime juice
- 6 oz chocolate, melted
- Topping
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- ¼ cup chocolate syrup
- ¼ cup caramel syrup
Sweet Pepper Pork

In a large pan, saute onions and garlic in olive oil for about 1 minute over medium high heat
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 2 T. olive oil
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 red onion, sliced
- 3-4 aneheim green chilis, seeded and sliced into strips
- 1 green bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips
- 1 yellow bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips
- 1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips
- 2 T. green chili powder
- 1 T. cumin
- salt and pepper to taste
- Juice of one lime
- 1 large can diced tomatoes
- 1 T. cilantro
Apricot Walnut Salad

Toss all ingredients and serve
- 2 cups mixed greens
- 1/2 cup chopped, dried apricots
- 1/4 cup rough chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup sliced mini tomotoes
- Pinch of sea salt
- Pinch of pepper
- 3 T. extra virgin olive oil mixed with 2 T. Muscat Orange Champagne Vinegar (or other champagne vinegar)
Ginger Garlic Marinade

In a small food processor or blender, chop solid ingredients then add liquids and blend
- 2 shallots
- 4 cloves garlic
- chunk of fresh ginger (when ground about 1/8 cup)
- 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/8 cup white balsamic vinegar
- 1/8 cup worcestershire sauce
- 1/8 cup lemon juice
- 1/8 cup water
- salt and pepper
Ginger Beef

Place all ingredients in crock pot except the broccoli slaw, sesame seeds and kuzu root
- 2 lbs steak, cubed
- 1/2 cup fresh ginger, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1-2 t. red pepper flakes
- 1 T. sesame seed oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 12 oz package broccoli slaw
- 2 T. sesame seeds
- 1 T. kuzu root (or cornstarch) mixed in 1/4 cup cold water
Asparagus Veggie Mix

Place all veggies except spinach in a steamer
- 1 bunch of asparagus cut up
- 1 large green bell pepper, seeded and cut
- 1/2 red onion, sliced
- 15 cherry tomatoes (I used yellow tomatoes here)
- 2 cups spinach
- Juice of one lemon
- 1 1/2 T. Paula Dean's Silly Salt (if you don't have this use some garlic salt, onion powder, and pepper)
Vegetable Beef Stew

Place all ingredients (except thickening agent) in large crockpot and cook on low for 7-8 hours
- 3 lbs stew meat
- 14.5 oz can stewed tomatoes
- 6 oz can tomato paste
- 1/4 cup water
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 zucchini, chopped
- 1 bunch of asparagus, chopped
- 1/2 red onion, chopped
- 2 bell peppers (any color), seeded and chopped
- 2 large carrots, peeled and chopped
- 1 bunch of green beans, chopped
- 3 T. autumn spice (can use allspice if you can't find autumn blend)
- 2 pinches sea salt
- 2 pinches pepper
- 2 whole bay leaves
- 2 t. xantham gum or kuzu root (gluten free thickening agent)
Balsamic Avocado & Tomatoes

Easy, fast and delicious Balsamic Avocado & Tomatoes
- 4 avocados, chopped
- 1 pint grape tomatoes or cherry
- Juice of half a lime
- 2 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 4 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- Pinch sea salt
- Pinch pepper
- 2 teaspoon Mexican oregano
- 2 teaspoon basil
Creamy Orange Chicken

Place chicken in a large crockpot
- 4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 15 oz can coconut milk
- 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large orange sliced
- 2 T. chopped lemongrass
- 3 T. grated ginger
- 2 T. cumin
- 2 t. rosemary
- 1 T. all spice
- 2 t. white pepper
- 2 t. sea salt
- 2 T. cornstarch or kuzu root, mixed in 1/4 cup cold water
Southwest Roast Beef

Use the leftovers in tacos or on salads
- For the rub:
- 5-6 lb rump roast
- 1 can chopped green chilis
- 3-4 shallots sliced
- 1 T. ground cumin
- 1 T. garlic powder
- 2 t. paprika
- 1 T. green chili powder
- 1 T. dried cilantro
- 1 T. dried oregano
- 2 t. sea salt
- 2 t. pepper
