- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 6 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (1 1/2 cups), room temperature
- 6 ounces provolone cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (1 1/2 cups), room temperature
- Topping:
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
