Ingredients

  • 4 cups half and half
  • 2 large cloves farlic pressed
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 pounds red potatoes peeled and sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • vegetable oil for baking dish
  • 1 Tbls grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

In a large saucepan nover medium heat, combine the half and half, garlic, bay leaf, salt and pepper. Add the potatoes. Bring to a simmer and simmer for 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Make sure the liquid is just simmering and not scorching on the bottom of the pan. Preheat oven to 425F Coat large baking dish with the vegetable oil. Adjust seasonings with salt and pepper and transfer the potatoes and sauce to the baking dish. Sprinkle with the paremesan cheese on top and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cream is bubbling and the top slightly browned/
