Ingredients
- 4 pork chops, about 1 pound total,
- 1/2 inch thick each, and trimmed of fat
- 2 teaspoons fresh or 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 medium-sized peeled turnips,
- cut into 2 x 1/2 x 1/2 inch strips
- 1 cup whole cranberry sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped yellow or white onion

Step 1
Brown the pork chops on both sides in a lightly greased large saute pan at medium heat. Sprinkle the pork chops with the sage and pepper. Pour the chicken broth into the pan. Layer the turnip strips around and atop the pork chops. Spoon the cranberry sauce over the pork chops, and add the onions. Cover the pan and simmer for 15 minutes or until the turnips are tender and the pork chops are done.
