Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

This Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta is a pure delight whether you serve it on date night or as part of your weekly dinner rotation. This recipe is filled with the sweet and savory flavors of fresh shrimp, angel hair pasta, parmesan cheese, fresh lemon juice, and your favorite dry white wine. All this recipe needs is a crusty loaf of bread to sop up that luscious sauce with, a glass of the wine you used in this recipe, and maybe a lightly dressed side salad.
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound shrimp
- Kosher salt to taste
- freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, about 1/2 a lemon
- pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or to taste
- 3/4 cup parmesan, grated, plus more for garnish
- 1 tablespoon parsley, freshly chopped
- 1 (12-ounce) package cooked angel hair pasta

Preparation
Step 1
Bring a large pot of water to a boil, once boiling add salt to the water and cook pasta to al dente according to the directions on the package.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter. Add shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook until pink, 2 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate.
In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic. Cook until fragrant, 1 minute. Add wine, lemon juice, and crushed red pepper flakes and simmer 2 minutes, then add parmesan and parsley and let cook 2 minutes more. Add cooked angel hair and shrimp and toss until completely combined. Garnish with parmesan and serve.
