Ingredients
- 1 9" baked pastry shell
- 1 quart strawberries
- 1/2 cup icing sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Whipped cream

Preparation
Step 1
Have pastry shell baked and cooled.
To 3 cups of cleaned whole berries, add the icing sugar and let stand about 1 hour.
Crush remaining cup of strawberries in saucepan. Add water. Cook 2 minutes. Sieve.
Combine cornstarch and sugar and stir into sieved berries in saucepan. Cook until clear, stirring constantly.
Arrange sugared, whole berries in pie shell. Cover with hot strawberry glaze. Cool.
Garnish edge of pie with whipped cream.
