Ingredients
- 1 9-inch pie crust
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 6 cups strawberries
- 3 tbs cornstarch
- 1 pkg (3 oz) cream cheese, softened
- Red food color

Preparation
Step 1
Prepare pie shell as directed.
Mash enough berries to measure 1 cup. Stir together sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in water and crushed berries. Cook over med heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 min. Stir in a few drops of red food color, cool.
Beat cream cheese until smooth; spread on bottom of cooled pie shell. Fill shell w/remaining berries; pour berry mixture over top. chill at least 3 hrs or until set.
