Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 pound extra firm tofu
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus
  • 1 large sweet onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
  • Hot cooked rice

Step 1

Slice tofu in ½ inch squares. Toss with ¼ cup soy sauce and marinate for 15 minutes.

Snap off tough ends of asparagus; cut diagonally into 2 inch pieces.

Cut onions into 1/4 inch thick slices.

Slice red pepper into 1/4 inch thick slices.

Heat oil in a large non-stick wok at medium-high heat for 2 minutes. Add onion, red pepper and garlic and stir-fry 4 to 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add asparagus and stir¬ fry 3 to 4 minutes more, or until tender. Pour in oyster sauce and add tofu; toss. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and serve over hot rice.
