Microwave Spiced Pork Chops
Cheesy Orzo
Ingredients
- Seasoned Bread Crumbs:
- Orange Glazed Baby Carrots – Top
- 1/2 lb fresh baby carrots
- 1 T butter
- 1/2 c orange juice
- 1 t garlic
- 1 t Italian seasoning blend
- Microwave Spiced Pork Chops – Middle
- 2 ” thick boneless loin, pork chops, trimmed of fat
- 1 T lime juice
- 2 T chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 T unsalted butter
- 1/3 c dried bread crumbs mixed w/ pinch of cayenne
- 1 t minced garlic
- 1/4 t ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp oregano
- 1/4 t salt
- Cheesy Orzo – Bottom
- 1/2 t minced garlic
- 14 oz chicken broth
- 1 c orzo pasta
- 1/2 c parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste

Step 1
Orange Glazed Baby Carrots – Top
Combine all ingredients in a ¾ Qt inverted casserole cover. Cover with wax paper. To stack cook, stack casseroles together and cook in microwave on high power (100%) for 20-25 minutes. Carrots may be crunchy. Remove stack from oven and microwave singly an additional 3-5 minutes until desired tenderness is reached.
Microwave Spiced Pork Chops – Middle
Rub pork chops with lime juice and coat with cilantro. In 1¾ Qt Tupperwave Casserole, microwave butter and garlic for 1½ minutes or until it sizzles. Dip pork chops in garlic butter, then in seasoned breading. Place in center of pie plate. Sprinkle with remaining seasoned breading, drizzle on butter. Cover and microwave on medium high for 6 minutes. Turn over and rotate and microwave, for 6 minutes longer or until center is no longer pink. Bread crumbs create moist topping.
Cheesy Orzo – Bottom
Place garlic, chicken broth and orzo in 3 quart casserole and place in bottom of stack. To stack cook, microwave stack on high power (100%) 20-25 minutes. All liquid should be absorbed and pasta should be tender. Season orzo with salt and pepper and stir in cheese. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.
