French Crullers - Dunkin Donut Copycat

French Crullers are soft doughnuts with a sweet glaze
- HONEY GLAZE:
- 1/2-inch star pastry attachment
- 1 cup water
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons superfine sugar
- 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
- 3 large eggs
- 2 egg whites, slightly beaten
- vegetable oil for frying
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1 tablespoons honey
- 3 to 4 tablespoons milk or water
Panera Tomato Basil Bread

This Tomato Basil Bread's chewy crust pairs well with a steaming mug of soup
- 1 (.25-ounce) package active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water (110 to 115°F)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, minced (substitute with 2 tablespoons dried)
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
- 2 3/4 cups bread flour
Cannellini Bean and Sausage Stew with Tomatoes and Basil

Put 2 cans cannellini beans into colander placed in the sink
- 2 cups cooked cannellini beans
- 4 links Aidell's Roasted Garlic and Gruyere Cheese Chicken Sausage (or use any pre-cooked chicken or turkey sausage)
- 2-3 tsp. olive oil (use more or less, depending on your pan)
- 1/2 large onion, coarsely chopped (to flavor beans) + 1/2 large onion, finely chopped (for stew)
- 1 T minced garlic
- 1 (14.5 oz) can petite dice tomatoes with juice
- 1 tsp. dried Greek or Italian oregano
- 1/2 tsp. dried marjoram
- 2 cups chicken stock
- Salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped basil
- 1 T balsamic vinegar
- Fresh grated parmesan for serving (optional, but good)
Rhubarb Tart with Orange Glaze

Preheat oven to 400°F with rack in middle
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 pound rhubarb stalks, thinly sliced diagonally (1/8 inch)
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (from a 17 1/4-ounces package), thawed
- 1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest
- Accompaniment: vanilla ice cream
