Barbecue Slow Cooker Chicken

Heat all ingredients except lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce
- 2-3 lbs chicken
- 1 cup catsup
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 to 4 tablespoons butter, optional
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce + 2 tablespoons sugar, optional
Chef John's Chicken and Mushrooms

- 2 chicken breast halves, boneless, skin-on
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced 1/4 inch thick
