For the Cake: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 1/3 cup granulated sugar

Pork Chops with Lemon Thyme sauce

- 4 4oz boneless pork chops , pounded thin
- Salt and Black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup chicken broth or stock
- 4 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme , chopped or 1 tsp dried thyme, crumbled
- 4 cloves garlic, minced

- 12 oz boneless chicken breasts
