Ingredients
- 3 medium onions sliced
- 1 small cabbage head cut in wedges
- 1 corned beef brisket - (3 to 4 lbs)
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/4 cup brown sugar - (packed)
- 2 teaspoons grated orange peel
- 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
- 6 whole cloves
- 1 jar spiced apple rings - (14 oz)

Preparation
Step 1
Place onions and cabbage in crockery cooker. Trim fat from brisket; place meat atop vegetables. Stir together cider, brown sugar, orange peel, mustard and cloves; pour over meat. Cover; cook on LOW-heat setting for 8 to 10 hours.
Garnish platter with apple rings. Pass mustard; if desired.
This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
