Chinese Roast Pork on Garlic Bread

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lbs pork tenderloin cut in half crosswise
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 c hoison sauce
- 3 T honey
- 8 cloves garlic, chopped and crushed into a paste
- 2 t sesame oil
- 4 oz butter at room temperature
- 1 large loaf of Italian bread, split in half lengthwise
- 1/4 c store bought duck sauce

Step 1
Position the rack on the lower third of the oven and preheat to 450. Season the pork with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, combine honey, only 3 T hoisin sauce, 1 t garlic and the sesame oil. Reserve half. Place the pork in a small roasting pan and b rush with the other half of the hoisin mixture. Roast until it registers 150 on thermometer, about 20 min. Transfer to a cutting board to rest.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine the butter and remaining garlic. Spread the bread halves with the garlic butter, wrap together in foil and bake for 10 min. Open the foil, turn the bread cut side up and bake until roasted. About 5 min.
In a bowl, combine the remaining 1 T hoisin sauce and the reserved hoisin mixture. Thinly slice the pork. Add to the bowl and toss to coat. Place the pork on the break and top with the duck sauce. Cut crosswise into quarters.
