Ingredients
- 1-1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 T. baking powder
- 1/4 t. cinnamon
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1/8 t. nutmeg
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1 c. sweet potatoes, peeled, boiled and mashed
- 1/3 c. plus 1 T. milk, divided
- Garnish: sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg in a medium mixing bowl; cut in margarine until coarse crumbs form. Set aside. Blend potatoes and 1/3 cup milk together; add to flour mixture. Stir with a fork until just moistened; roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to a 3/4-inch thickness; cut out with a biscuit cutter. Arrange on a greased baking sheet; brush with remaining milk. Sprinkle with sugar; bake at 425 degrees until golden, about 15 to 20 minutes. Makes one dozen.
