Mom's English crock pot cranberry beef roast

  • 1 3# roast
  • 1 pkg dry onion soup mix
  • 1 can of cranberry sauce or jelly
  • 2 T butter or margarine
  • 2 T flour
  • cornstarch if needed

Step 1

Sprinkle onion soup mix on the bottom of a slow cooker or crock pot. Lay beef roast over soup mix and cover with cranberry sauce/jelly. Allow to cook on low until desired doneness about 4-5 hours. Remove roast from cooker and whisk together butter and flour with the cooking juices left in the pot until thickened to gravy texture. If it doesn't thicken enough whisk in a little cornstarch
