Cranberry Orange Nog Salad
By shirleyp123
This is a Thanksgiving favorite that we start making in the late fall when eggnog becomes available. We make and bottle cranberry chutney every year and I love using that instead of the store bought whole cranberry sauce in this dish.
Ingredients
- 6 ounces orange Jell-O
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 cups eggnog
- 3/4 cup orange sections, cut
- 6 ounces raspberry Jell-O
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 can whole cranberry sauce
- 1 cup orange juice

Preparation
Step 1
Dissolve orange Jell-O in 2 cups boiling water. Cool then stir in eggnog. Chill to consistency of egg whites, then fold in orange sections and pour into 8 cup mold.
Dissolve red Jell-O in 1 cup boiling water. Add orange juice and cranberry sauce, mixing until well blended, the chill until eggnog Jell-o is set enough to support the next layer, then pour on top of the mold and chill until firm.
Unmold using hot water bath for a few seconds before inverting on serving platter.
