Baked maple bacon squash

Ingredients
- 1 squash
- 4 slices bacon
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- salt/pepper to taste

Step 1
Preheat oven 375F
1. Seed and slice acorn squash and lay on flat baking sheet.
2. Pour melted butter over squash and bake for 20 minutes.
3. Mean while, in frying pan, fry bacon until almost crisp. Remove and save 2 tablespoons of bacon drippings.
4. Put the 2 tablespoons of drippings back in fry pan, add maple syrup and red wine vinegar. Cook until thick.
5. Once squash has baked for 20 minutes, turn over sprinkle cooked bacon over squash and pour syrup over the squash. Then bake for another 10 minutes.
