Ingredients

  • 8 medium potatoes, pared and sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Dash of pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Alternate layers of potatoes, green pepper and onion in greased 2 quart baking dish.

Combine remaining ingredients and pour over potatoes.

( NOTE: In lieu of cream of mushrooms soup and milk, you can make your own cream sauce by combining 2 tablespoons flour and 3 cups milk. Heat in small saucepan until sauce thickens and pour over potatoes).

Cover and bake in moderate, 350 degree, oven for 1 1/2 hours or till potatoes are done

Makes 8 servings.
