Ingredients
- 8 ounces pearl onions
- 1 medium red onions, sliced thin
- 1 medium Vidalia onion, sliced thin
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 6 cups chicken broth
- Salt
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 8 ounces angle hair pasta, broken into 2 inch pieces
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh Italian parsley
- 1 Tbl. plus 1 tsp. grated Romano cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Place the onions and oil in a large saucepan over low heat and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes, until the onions are soft.
Increase the heat, add the broth, and salt to taste. Sprinkle with the red pepper flakes, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour.
Add the pasta and parsley and cook until pasta is al dente. Sprinkle with the grated Romano cheese.
