Pretzel Salad

Mix pretzels, butter and sugar together and put in a 9" x 13" pan, (save enough to sprinkle on top)
- Topping:
- 1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 13 oz. can cold evaporated milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 oz. lemon jello
- 1/2 cup boiling water
Vegetable-Braised Turkey Breast

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 ribs celery
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 1 14 oz. can tomatoes, Italian plum, undrained
- 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 3/4 tsp. dried, crushed thyme leaves
- 1 turkey breast, with bone (about 4 1/2 to 5 lbs.)
Apple Crisp

Mix together apples, 1/3 cup sugar, cinnamon, salt, and melted butter
- 6 cups thinly sliced, peeled apples
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tbsp. margarine, melted
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup margarine
- whipped topping, thawed
Spanish Rice

Heat oil in pan with tight lid
- 1 lb. extra lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp. oil
- 1 1/2 cups rice, pre-cooked
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 1 lb. canned tomatoes, (2 1/2 cups)
Mexican Confetti Pinwheels

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Unroll dough and separate into 4 rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal
- 1 can (8 oz.) Pillsbury refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
- 1/4 cup nacho cheese dip
- 1/3 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
- 1/3 cup chopped green onions
Strawberry Daiquiri Shortcakes

STRAWBERRY SAUCE: In a medium bowl, combine strawberries and daiquiri mix
- 4 cups strawberries, cut into quarters
- 1 cup strawberry daiquiri mix
- 3 tbsp. cold butter
- 2 1/3 cups packaged biscuit mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 6 scoops high-quality vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup whipping cream, whipped

In a large trifle or glass bowl, layer in this order: 1/3 lettuce, 1/2 red pepper, 1/2 green pepper, 1/3 corn, 1/2 ...
- 9 cups roughly chopped green leaf or romaine lettuce, divided
- 1 large red bell pepper, seeded and diced
- 1 large green bell pepper, seeded and diced
- 1 pkg. (12 oz.) frozen corn, steamed and cooled
- 6 medium tomatoes, 5 chopped and 1 sliced into wedges for garnish
- 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 4 cups roasted chicken, roughly chopped

BBQ Potatoes

- 1 1/2 lbs. potatoes
- 1 grated garlic clove or 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
