Banana Pudding Icebox Cake

Impressive dessert with layers of classic banana pudding ingredients in a springform pan
- NOTE:
- 1 or 2 amall boxes Instant pudding mix, Banana Cream and/or White Chocolate recommended (prepared as directed on package for a pie)
- 4-6 mediumm ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
- Box of Nilla vanilla wafers
- 8 to 16 ozs. Cool Whip whipped topping (or prepared whipping cream)
- For a 9" pan, I used 2 boxes of pudding mix (one banana cream and one vanilla, combined with 2 1/2 cups milk, 6 bananas, and about 16 ozs. Cool Whip. You may have to adjust ingredient amounts for other sized pans.
Maple-Bacon Upside-Down Biscuits

- TOPPING:
- 6 thick-cut slices bacon
- 1/3 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup real maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons reserved bacon fat
- BISCUITS:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar, optional
- 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) cold unsalted butter
- 1 cup cold whole milk or buttermilk

- Cheese Sauce:
- 1 (2 lb) bag crinkle cut frozen french fries (shown Alexia Smart Classics brand)
- 1 (12 oz) bag frozen small shrimp, thawed, tails removed if present
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk, or 2% milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (I used medium cheddar)
Blueberry Corn Muffins

- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar, minus 1 tablespoon
- 1 extra large egg
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk (I used 1/2 milk and 1/2 buttermilk)
- 3/4 cup fresh blueberries

- BLOND BUTTER SYRUP:
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cans water (use a peach can)
- Juice from one large lemon (4 to 5 tablespoons)
- 6 tablespoons salted butter, cut into cubes
- DUMPLING DOUGH:
- 3 cups self-rising flour (I used Gold Medal)
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening (I used Crisco)
- 3/4 to 1 cup ice cold water, as needed
