For the cupcakes: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

- 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup shortening, such as Crisco
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Snickerdoodle Bundt Cake

1. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon; set aside
- STREUSEL/PAN DUSTING:
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 cup granulated white sugar
- CAKE:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup granulated white sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 3 eggs, at room temperature
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup full-fat sour cream, at room temperature
- 1 cup of cinnamon chips, optional
Chicken Marsala

- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
- 4 shallots, chopped fine
- 1 ⁄2 lb mushroom, sliced
- 1 ⁄4 cup dry marsala
- 1 ⁄2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Blackberry Cobbler

- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups plus 1 tablespoon self-rising flour
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
- 1/2 to 2/3 cup milk
- Vanilla ice cream
Grilled Corn Casserole

- Olive oil, for brushing the corn

- 1 roll Pillsbury™ refrigerated sugar cookies
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds
- 1 cup powdered sugar 1
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds

Twice Baked Potatoes with Caramelized Onions and Gruyere

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 small to medium yellow onions, sliced
- Water, broth, balsamic vinegar, or wine (optional)
- Coarse kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 4 large sweet potatoes
- 3 ounces Gruyere cheese, shredded
Greens with Polenta Croutons

For the polenta: Coat a 9- by 13-inch baking dish with a thin coat of olive oil

- 1 cup instant polenta
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
