SOUR CREAM CRANBERRY BARS

In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided
- 2 cups dried cranberries
- 1 cup (8ounces) sour cream
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
GOLD COOKIES

Mix together shortening, sugar and egg yolks
- 1/2 cup butter flavor shortening
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup finely chopped nuts (pecans)
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
MARINATED STRIP STEAKS WITH GORGONZOLA SAUCE

In a large glass baking dish combine the marinade ingredients
- Marinade
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup dry red wine 1medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 4 New York strip steaks, each 10 to 12 ounces and about 1 inch thick, trimmed of excess fat
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- Kosher salt
- Ground black pepper
- Sauce
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons minced shallot
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 ounces crumbled Gorgonzola cheese (1 cup)
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives (optional)

BAKED ORANGE CHICKEN MEATBALLS

- For the meatballs:

- 3 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
