Black Pepper Beef with Green Beans

Snap green beans into halves or thirds to make pieces about 2 1/2 inches long
- 1 pound green beans, ends snapped off and strings removed
- 3/4 pound flank steak, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce or soy sauce1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon Chinese rice wine or dry sherry
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons coarsely ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 slices unpeeled fresh ginger
- 1 medium onion, sliced
Lazy Hawaiian Chicken

Spray crock pot with non stick cooking spray or use liners
- 5-6 boneless chicken breasts (approx 2 1/2 lbs)
- 16 oz can of pineapple slices, drained
- 15oz can of mandarin oranges, drained
- 1/4 cup corn starch
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp ground ginger
