Mom's Clam Chowder

1.Drain juice from clams into a large skillet over the onions, celery, potatoes
- 3 (6.5 ounce) cans minced clams or 16 ounces chopped clams
- 1 cup minced onion
- 1 cup diced celery
- 2 cups cubed potatoes
- 3/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 quart half-and-half cream
- 2 tablespoonsred wine vinegar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- ground black pepper to taste
Slow Cooker Roast Chicken

1. In a small bowl, combine the spices with the salt
- 2 teaspoons Herbs de Provence
- 2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 4-5 pound whole organic chicken
- 4-6 cloves garlic
- 1 lemon , cut into quarters
- 1 pound Baby carrots,trimmed and cleaned
- 1 cup chicken broth

Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease and flour two 9x5x3-inch loaf pans; set aside
- Vanilla Batter:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1 3/4 cups Granulated Sugar

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- 1 cup Confectioners Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

- 1 pound beef tenderloin or sirloin steak, cut into 1/2 inch strips
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp roasted red chili paste
- 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp freshly grated grated orange zest
- 1 bunch green onions, sliced - white parts and tops separated

1. Preheat oven to 350. Melt butter in a small skillet over medium high heat

- 1 20 ounce package lean ground turkey
- 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 cup dried parsley, crumbled
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup ketcup
- 2 tsp worcestershire sauce

- 2 1/2 pounds beef round top steak (1/2 inch thick)
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- Kosher salt

- 1 cup celery, chopped (2 ribs of celery)
- 1 pound baby bella mushrooms, cleaned and quartered
- 1 1/2 cups drained canned tomatoes,chopped (use a 28 oz can)
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 2 Bay leaves
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme leaves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh Rosemary, minced

Grandma Hanley's Pot Roast

1. Preheat oven to 350 2
- 1 3-3.25 lb rump or bottom round roast
- 2 cans Golden Mushroom soup
- 2 cans of dry red wine( fill the soup cans with wine instead of water)
- 2 pkgs lipton dry onion soup mix
- 1 8 oz packaged sliced cremini or mini bella mushrooms
- Salt and Pepper to taste
