Garlic Potato Gratin

1.Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme or 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- freshly ground pepper
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh chives
- 2 pounds Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and sliced about 1/4 inch thick
- 1 3/4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
Flaky Pie Crust

1. Combine flour and salt in a large bowl

Oven Roasted Broccoli

Preheat oven to 400°F. Liberally drizzle EVOO over broccoli, add garlic, salt and pepper, and toss to coat
- 1 head broccoli, cut into pieces and discard stems
- 3-4 cloves garlic, finely chopped

Mom's Savory Goulash

Heat in a dutch oven- 2 tbs olive oil over medium high heat Brown meat in a single layer May need to add more oil
- 2 onions sliced
- 2-4 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 lbs stew meat ( large chunks)
- 8 oz thickly sliced mushrooms
- 2 -3 tablespoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup hot water
- 16 oz Tomato sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
Horseradish Cream

- 1/2 cup very finely chopped toasted walnuts
