- 1 lb. bulk Italian sausage
- 1 small onion, chopped (1/3 cup)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 15-oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 7 1/2-oz. can tomatoes, cut up
- 1/2 6 oz. can tomato paste (1/3 cup)
- 2 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
- 1 1/2 tsp. dried basil, crushed
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped black olives
- 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- Dippers: breadsticks, breaded mozzarella cheese sticks, and green sweet pepper strips

- One cup heavy whipping cream (36%-40% milk fat content)

- 4 tsp milk
- 2 tsp powdered sugar
