1) To make the first layer, heat your 9" or 10" electric skillet to 275°F
- First Layer
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups sliced fruit or berries
- 1/4 cup Pie Filling Enhancer, optional
- Second Layer
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
- 3/4 cup milk

- 8 hot dogs
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 t. salt
- 3/4 c. cornmeal
- 4 T. sugar
- 1 t. baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 c. milk

Yellow Butter Cake

A homemade cake that tastes great
- Cake:
- 6 large egg yolks
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 3 cups sifted cake flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated white sugar
- 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 12 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature and cut into pieces
- Chocolate Frosting:
- 8 ounces bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 3 cups confectioners sugar, sifted to remove lumps
- 1 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup milk
Bacon Cheddar Scones

Preheat the oven to 425°F
- 2 cups (8 1/2 ounces) King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour or Perfect Pastry Blend
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick, 2 ounces) cold butter
- 1 cup (4 ounces) very coarsely grated or diced cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup (about 1/2 ounce) snipped fresh chives, or finely diced scallion tops (the green part, 3/4 ounce)
- 1/2 pound bacon, cooked, cooled, and crumbled (about 1 cup)
- 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons (7 ounces) heavy cream or whipping cream, or enough to make the dough cohesive

- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 2 cups flaked coconut
- 1/4 cup margarine, melted
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 4 (1.55 ounce) bars milk chocolate candy

Good N Chewy Hermit Bars

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, beat together the sugar, shortening and margarine till smooth
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour, or 100% White Whole Wheat Flour, or a combination
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 cup raisins, either dark or golden
Chocolate Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies

Cookie: Preheat oven to 350 degrees Grease a large baking pan or use a silpat on the pan
- Cookie:
- 1 pkg. brownie mix
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1/4 c. all purpose flouer
- 2 large eggs
- Filling:
- 4 oz. cream cheese
- 3/4 c. peanut butter
- 2 t. vanilla
- 2 c. powdered sugar
- 3 T. milk

- 2 3/4 cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup cold butter
- 1 cup to 2 cups chopped dried fruit, chocolate or other flavored chips, nuts, or a combination, optional
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract or the flavoring of your choice
- 1/2 cup to 2/3 cup half and half or milk
- Topping
- 2 teaspoons milk
- 2 tablespoons sparkling white sugar or cinnamon sugar, optional
