Combine first 5 ingredients; stir well, and set aside
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 3 (1-ounce) squares semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup finely chopped flaked coconut
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted and coarsely chopped

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
- 1 large egg, separated
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 2 - 3 tablespoons milk
- 1/3 cup currants or raisins

- 3/4 cup black rice

- 1 bunch spinach, large stems removed and rinsed

- 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh ginger
- 3 scallions, thinly sliced, white and green parts separated
- 1 pound extra-firm tofu, cut into six 1/2-inch-thick rectangles

- 1 bag (3.5 oz) butter flavor microwave popcorn, popped
- 2/3 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 bag (10 oz) peanut butter chips
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

- 1/3 cup brown rice syrup or rice malt syrup
