Sweet and Spicy Spareribs

Prep time: 20 minutes Cooking time: 45 minutes
- 4 lbs pork spareribs
- 1 bottle (12 oz) chili sauce
- ( I like Las Palmas Red)
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 Tablespoons peanut oil
- 1/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tablespoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Bananas Crepe Brulee

Assembly Instructions: Prepare crepes and top with cream cheese and bananas brulee
- Ingredients:
- Crepe Batter
- 1 1/2 C. All-Purpose Flour
- 3 Eggs
- 1 1/2 C. Milk
- 1/4 t. Salt
- 3 T. Butter, melted
- Method:
- Place flour and eggs in a bowl and whisk with wire whisk or beaters. Add other ingredients and beat until smooth. Cook batter in crepe pans. Keep warm until ready to serve.
- Cream Cheese Layer
- Ingredients:
- 8-oz. Pkg. Cream Cheese, softened
- 2 C. Powdered Sugar
- ½ pint Whipping Cream, whipped
- Method:
- Whip cream cheese and powdered sugar together till fluffy. Add whipped cream at beat until thickened to desired consistency.
- Bananas Brulee
- Ingredients:
- 4 Bananas
- 4 T. Butter
- 1/3 - 1/2 C. Brown Sugar
- Method:
- Melt butter in a pan. Add bananas and sprinkle with brown sugar. Saute in pan until bananas are caramelized.
- Chocolate Drizzle
- Ingredients:
- Warm Nutella Hazelnut Chocolate, or favorite melting chocolate.
- Method:
- Drizzle on top of prepared crepe.
Natural Yeast Waffles

Natural yeast is grown in your fridge like a science experiment
- 2 eggs
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1/4 c. milk* (add more or less to make a good batter consistency)
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 c. natural yeast starter
- cinnamon and nutmeg to taste. (I use a lot)
- Non-dairy milk can be used

- 1 cup packed cilantro, leaves and stems
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped red onion
- 3 cloves chopped garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Pineapple Salsa

- 1 german chocolate cake mix
- 1 8oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- chocolate chips
Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Great low fat recipe with lots of fiber to use up your fall bounty of apples
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cup sugar (I didn't add all of this)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 egg lightly beaten
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 apples peeled, cored and chopped ( I shred mine so the children don't notice there is fruit in the muffin:)
- Topping
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 2/3 Tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 2/3 Tablespoons whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 cup rolled oats
Pizza (Grilled)

This is a New York Style thin crust pizza
- Add:
- 16 1/2 oz. bread flour
- 2 t. sugar
- 1/2 t. yeast
- 1 1/3 c. ice cold water
- 10 in food processor and let rest 10 min.
- 1 1/2 t. salt
- 1 T. vegetable oil
- 30-60 30-60 seconds until it comes together. It should be satiny and sticky.
- Pizza sauce:
- 28 oz. whole stewed tomatoes
- 1 T. olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 t. salt
- 1 t.oregano
- 1/4 t. black pepper
- 1 t. red wine vinegar (Pompeian)
- 1 in food processor or blender and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
Minted Brownies

Delicious triple layer brownie with green mint frosting in the middle
- Add alternately:
- Brownies
- Beat till stiff: 4 egg whites
- Cream: 2/3 cup shortening
- 2 cup sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 6 Tablespoons cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup nuts
- Green Mint Frosting
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 Tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Color pale green. Frost cooled brownies and let frosting set.
- Glaze
- 3 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup butter
- Melt slowly in microwave and blend together and spread over frosting.
