Quickie Shrimp Scampi with tomato sauce
Shrimp Scampi with a combination garlic/butter and tomato/basil/meat sauce
(From Michael Angelo's pre-prepared frozen dinner)
With the combination sauce, it is quite a filling meal.
Ingredients
- Small individual serving size of frozen Michael Angelo's Shrimp Scampi
- Favorite brand of tomato/basil sauce. Recommend - Delallo (Ingles)
- .2 to .3 lbs of Hamburger meat
- Garlic bread or suitable fixings
- Lettuce etc for side salad

Preparation
Step 1
If the hamburger meat is already cooked, skip next step
In small frypan, cook the hamburger meat till just past pink
In a small sauce pan, add the tomato/basil sauce and the hamburger meat and simmer while the scampi cooks. I like to add additional oregano to mine, but that is to taste.
Follow directions on the package of the Shrimp Scampi.
Prepare the garlic bread and salad as needed.
When the scampi is done, remove to a warmed plate and combine with the tomato/basil/meat sauce.
I find the butter/garlic sauce a perfect add-on to the tomato sauce (particularly Delallo since it has little garlic on its own).
Serve with sides.
