Brussel Sprouts & Bacon

  • 5-6 bacon strips, cut into pieces
  • 1 pound (2 bags) frozen brussel sprouts
  • OR 1# fresh brussel sprouts, ends cut off, sliced in half
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 3 T. brown sugar
  • 3 T. butter
  • Salt & pepper


Preparation time 15mins
Cooking time 35mins


Step 1

Slightly thaw brussel sprouts, cut in half. (Or cook fresh brussel sprouts in water until cooked through) In a large skillet brown bacon until crisp. Drain off all bacon drippings except 1 tablespoon.
Add onion & garlic, cook on medium heat till tender. Add butter & brown sugar, mixing well. Add cooked brussel sprouts and mix. Heat through. Salt & pepper to taste. Serve, enjoy!
