Preparation
Step 1
Mix together the cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar cheese and bacon. Make them into small balls. Reserve a little bit of this mixture to 'glue' the eyes.
Roll them in the shredded cheddar cheese to coat.
Refrigerate for about an hour until they firm up.
Break the pretzel sticks in half.
Use a small fondant cutter to cut the white cheese into small rounds for the whites of the eyes. Use a smaller fondant cutter to cut the olives into small rounds for the pupils. Take a tad of the remaining cream cheese mixture and glue the olive to the cheese, and then glue the cheese to the pretzel sticks.
Place the pretzel sticks, with their eye balls, into the cheese balls.
Add a little sliver of olive for a mouth.
Remember some monsters have more than two eyes! Have fun making cheesy monster snacks!
*I grated my own cheese, but I think a packaged shredded cheese would have worked a bit better as the shreds are usually stiffer and drier. When I picked up my monsters, I smashed the cheesy fur down which wouldn't happen with drier cheese shreds
