Turkey Dressing

Homemade dressing is easy to make, and oh, so, delicious! This recipe can be easily adjusted -- add some sausage and apples, use chicken broth instead of water, be creative!

Ingredients
- 5 cups dried bread crumbs
- 1 cup chopped onion, sautéed
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- Pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 3/4 cups water

Step 1
Saute the chopped onion in a little butter or oil. In a large bowl, mix the bread crumbs, sautéed onion, parsley, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. Place in a large casserole dish. Mix in the water, a little bit at a time, until the dressing is moist.
Slice the butter into about 6 slices, and place over the top of the dressing. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
