  • GLAZE:
  • 1 C. milk
  • 3 T. butter
  • 1 T. yeast
  • 4 C. flour
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • Rind of 1 lg. orange
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1/4 C. milk
  • powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Scald milk, add butter & cool. When lukewarm, add yeast mixture and rest of ingredients except add only 1 C. flour. Let rise 1-2 hours. Beat with mixer and add remaining flour. Do not knead. Cover and let rise 2 hours. Mix 1/2 C. sugar & rind. Rol out dough, sprinkle orange rind/sugar. Roll up. Cut w/floss. Put in greased baking pan. Let rise 15 minutes. Bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
