Souperior Meatloaf and Tomato Glaze

This is the recipe on the box of Lipton Onion Soup Mix, and the glaze is adapted from a Canadian Living magazine recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 pouch Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) ketchup
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) fine bread crumbs (I use crushed soda crackers)
- 2 pounds (1 kg) lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup or Heinz Chili Sauce ( I prefer chili sauce)
- 1 TBSP prepared mustard

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 C). Blend together Lipton Onion Soup Mix, eggs, 1/2 cup ketchup, and bread crumbs. Add ground beef and combine well. Shape into a 9 x 5 inch (2L) loaf pan. Mix 1/4 cup ketchup, brown sugar and mustard together. Spread over meatloaf. Bake for 70 minutes.
