Chocolate Zucchini Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups white wheat flour
• 1 1/2 cups white sugar
• 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp baking poweder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 4 eggs
• 3/4 cup vegetable oil
• 3/4 cup applesauce
• 3 cups grated zucchini
• 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour 9x13 pan.

In a medium bowl, stir together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Add eggs, oil and applesauce. Mix well. Fold in zucchini and chocolate chips until evenly distributed. pour into baking pan. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes. Cool and ice if desired.
