can (12 oz.) evaporated milk
unbaked 9", deep-dish pie shell
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Beat eggs in large bowl. Mix sugar and spices. Add to eggs along with pumpkin. Gradually stir in evaporated milk. Pour into pie shell. Bake 15 minutes at 425 degrees. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 40 - 50 minutes more or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours. Serve with whipped topping, if desired. Keep refrigerated. Note: For stronger flavored pie, I double spices.
