Ingredients

  • 3

    T soy sauce

  • 2

    T oyster sauce

  • 1

    T dry sherry

  • 1

    T cornstarch

  • 1

    tsp sugar

  • 1

    lb flank steak, thinly sliced

  • 3-4

    stalks of broccoli, cut into bite sized pieces

  • 4

    T vegetable oil, divided

  • 2

    T water

  • 1

    clove garlic, minced

  • 1

    slice fresh ginger root , minced

Directions

Combine soy sauce, oyster sauce,sherry,cornstarch, and sugar; marinate steak in mixture for 30 minutes. Stir fry broccoli pieces in 2 T of oil over med- high heat in wok or large skillet, 2-4 minutes. Add water and cook, covered, until crisp-tender, 1-2 min.; remove from wok. In wok, heat remaining 2 T of oil over high heat, stir in garlic and ginger. Add steak mixture, stir- fry, turning constantly until lightly browned, 2-4 min. Return broccoli to wok, heat through.
